Our Story
Hello and welcome to Patch to Posy, we are an independent flower farm, florists and lifestyle studio based in Manchester. We are passionate about what we do and take so much inspiration from nature and the seasons, we use British flowers as much as we can, most of which are grown here on our own cutting patch.
We can cater for all of your floral requirements from gift bouquets & farewell flowers to weddings, events, flower crown parties & host regular floral workshops. We have 'The Gift Shed' here on the farm where you will find a gorgeous, hand-picked selection of gifts and home accessories. We offer free flower delivery within Urmston and beyond for a small mileage charge and you can shop our gift & home range online for click & collect or home delivery.
Our Story....
The Patch to Posy Journey began in 2014. Living at ‘Stickens Farm’ a small holding in Davyhulme, Clair wanted to build her dream job on the family farm. After a few years growing and selling cut flowers and her wedding work becoming increasingly popular she realised that even with help from her family, it was too big a task to ‘grow’ the business alone. Caroline joined Clair in 2022, with her great passion for flowers and home styling it felt very natural to combine their knowledge and passion thus creating Patch to Posy flowers ~ Lifestyle ~ Events.
The Story of Two friends brought together by a love of flowers…
Tied to a demanding and stressful job Caroline was browsing the internet dreaming about how to become a grower florist, she was stunned to discover that there was a little flower farm not 10 minutes from her house that she knew nothing about! Caroline reached out on Facebook just really to say hello and how amazing she thought Patch to Posy was… then by another twist of fate Clair ordered a personalised gift from Caroline’s handmade business. When Clair arrived to collect the order they realised who each other were and immediately hit it off chatting all things flowers…
Caroline by this point had decided to leave her job and was in the process of opening a gift shop, the two decided that Clair would sell her flowers in Caroline’s shop and from there the pair worked alongside each other helping with each others businesses and in the process became the best of friends.
In 2022 Clair & Caroline decided that after a few years of assisting Clair behind the scenes and Patch to Posy ever growing in popularity Caroline was going to officially join Clair as a partner. They now work alongside each other, consuming far too much coffee, hosting floral workshops, growing flowers, doing weddings and events and making lots of lovely future plans for expansion.
Our Ethos
We love to use our own grown flowers wherever possible and buy from other local growers from time to time. By using our own seasonal flowers we reduce our carbon footprint a little. We are committed to bringing you the highest quality flowers and making the experience buying from us a happy one!
